Positioning Flowers
The optimal temperature for flowers is 65 - 72°F or 18 - 22°C in a cool, light position. Try to avoid placing flowers in direct sunlight or exposed directly to heating or cooling appliances. Televisions and computers also give off heat so try to avoid placing plants near such applicances.

Exposure to warmth tends to make flowers fade more quickly therefore the cooler the environment the longer they will last.

Flowers will dry out faster if they are left in draughty areas such as near open doors or windows or in exposed hallways.

Freshly cut flowers should not be placed near ripening fruit and dying flowers should be removed as both release tiny amounts of ethylene that will age the flowers prematurely.
